Every End is a New Beginning

"Every story has an end, but in life every end is a new beginning." I think it is important to remember that when one door closes, another one opens. Whether it is a job, relationship, friendship, or opportunities in general, it is hard when change occurs. Often we dwell on the negative, and can't see the new opportunity that has been given to us. I know personally that I don't take change well, I like when my life is consistent and has order. But, I am learning that if my life always stays the same, then there is no room for improvement.  Heartbreak is one of the hardest things a person will go through. It will make you think that you're going to be alone forever. When you're used to being with someone for so long, it is hard to let go of that. These things in life are going to be hard, and there will be bumps in the road. A lot of the times we think that those bumps are going to go on forever, but that is not true. In 10 or 20 years we will look back o

Farewell to my Favorite Class

This week is a bittersweet week for me. It is the last week of my social media class, and this class has taught me a lot about things that I thought I already knew. I figured that I was going to be an expert in social media since I use it everyday, but I was wrong about that. My favorite part of this class was starting a blog. I had never thought about blogging before, until I was forced to create an account and start writing for my social media class. I was never a huge fan of writing, so I figured I would hate it. I actually love it, it turns out that there is something exciting about writing things you're passionate about. If this class didn't force me to start a blog, then I do not think I would have ever started one. This blog is going to be something I continue after this class is over, and I am excited to see where it takes me.       Another important thing that this class taught me was how to use social media for professional use, and not only personal use. I find

My Love/Hate Relationship with College

As a full time college student, I know that it is hard to get motivated. Doing homework, showing up for class, or even studying for an exam may be difficult for most students to do. Because we are in our twenties it's hard not to want to focus more on our social life, than our classes. A frat party sounds like a better time than pulling an all-nighter the night before an exam.        I am not going to sit here and tell you getting motivated is easy, because it's not. College is one of the hardest things you will go through in life, and we all have times that make us want to give up or dropout. Although we may say that we want to dropout, we know it's just not an option... for me at least. I know that getting through college and having my bachelor's degree, will be one of the most rewarding moments in my life. A college degree opens up so many opportunities in the professional field, that some people don't have the option of having.       College is not

Podcast Trial

Good Afternoon readers, today I am going to be doing something a little different! I will be starting a podcast, so today I am going to test it out. I am excited to start a podcast because I notice it has become more popular. When I first thought about a podcast, I was like "Oh no, I can't do that, I hate my voice!" I quickly got over that fear, and now I am just excited. This first podcast is just testing it out, and making sure everything works. My next podcast will talk about my life as a full time college student, how I plan to motivate others, and my future plans. I can't wait to get started! Here is my test run..  https://soundcloud.com/jenna-ehrhardt/prodcast-test .

Building Professional Profiles

I have recently been trying to convert my social media pages to professional ones. I started with my LinkedIn profile. This profile was easy to make professional because I hadn't started it yet. To build my profile, I started filling in my professional information. I started with putting in where I attend college, and the major I am pursuing. Doing this allows me to connect with others who went to my school, or those who are in the same major as me. Then, I stated my professional skills and wrote a bio of myself. Professional people will benefit from LinkedIn because it will allow them to build their network and find jobs.       The next thing I did to be more professional was change the mood of my Twitter account. I used to only use my Twitter account for personal use, but now I want to use it to inspire and motivate people. Now I use Twitter to write and share inspirational words. A lot of people use Twitter for negative thoughts, but I honestly think that only makes peopl
